A mixture of both an image and a graphical representation of an alphabetical character, the name implies the combination of the primal an the technological. Coming from an architectural background, using ‘cantilever’ seemed appropriate, in that, a seemingly simple concept of a cantilever has a very highly strategic and technical underpinning. Blending this with ‘ape’, another simple concept with a complex substructure brought me to the final solution. Although it is a dichotomy of terms, in essence they are equally straightforward and complex.
