Approached by the DJ, requesting both an album concept for an upcoming mixtape and the possible addition of a logo, I decided to tackle both tasks with the same design. This image was later decided to be defined as the album cover, with a simple Helvetica font type ‘G*Phunk’ in addition. Rather than establishing both a logo and album cover, I suggested using the changing graphics of each mixtape cover and a static type of his name as his logo, in keeping with a concept within the genre of funky-house, always keeping the user on his proverbial toes.
