Using shapes defined by typographic rules, I attempted to create a new typeface. Using the characters ‘j’ and ‘g’ in a vertical fashion, I cut the rounded edge of the ‘g’ and reset it to the opposite margin. It ended up as an exercise in negative space, with the white background becoming more of a focal point than the invented text itself.
